Cemetery
The Wayne Township cemetery has served as a burial ground since before 1840 making it one of the oldest cemeteries in DuPage County. The cemetery continues to provide a serene environment in which to memorialize a loved one.
As you walk through the cemetery you may notice the restoration of historic headstones which were either cracked, broken, or leaning. Additional headstones will be restored in the near future.
The township takes great pride in the history of its cemetery as well as care in honoring all veterans buried there. Flags are placed at all veteran grave sites on Memorial Day and Veterans Day, and an honor ceremony is held on Memorial Day.
