NOTICE: From now on, please use the WEST driveway to ENTER and the EAST driveway to EXIT. This means if you want to travel west on North Avenue, you will have to go to the stop light at Kuhn and make a U-turn; you will no longer be able to pull into the island to turn left onto North Avenue.

Illinois Department of Veteran's Affairs

The Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs is here to help you navigate the many federal, state, and local resources and benefits available to veterans. Whether you have a specific question or would simply like us to help identify programs and benefits for which you may be eligible, our Veteran Service Officers are standing by to help.

By Standing Up to Be Counted, you will also be assisting your fellow veterans by helping IDVA and the entire veteran advocacy community to gain a better understanding of who and where Illinois' veterans are. This will help us plan for future services, lobby for further federal VA funding and facilities, and generally serve Illinois' veterans better.

Mesothelioma and Veterans
Veterans of the United States military are entitled to the thanks of the nation, and are often recognized for their service and courage. These are well-respected, hardworking Americans who made great sacrifices to serve the country through the military. Unfortunately, many of these brave men and women spend their final days battling the illnesses triggered by years of exposure to asbestos, including mesothelioma.
