Senior Trip: Ghosts and Gangsters Tour
and Lunch
Tuesday, October 26, 2021 — 10:00am - 3:30pm
Join historian Tim Wilsey on a spooky/ghost tour of Chicagoland. From the houses of mobsters Sam Giancanna, Tony Accardo and Jack "Machine Gun" McGurn to the Haunted Country House of Clarendon Hills, Resurrection Cemetery and Queen of Heaven, where 25 victims of the Our Lady of Angels fire of 1958 were buried in a mass grave.
We will stop for lunch mid-tour at The Irish Legend. Originally built in the 1920s as O'Henry's Roadhouse, it was a speakeasy with ties to vintage mobsters like Al Capone. The Irish Legend is located across the street from the infamous Willowbrook Ballroom where many claim the ever-popular Resurrection Mary story originated.
